A Tsunami Of Winds ( Cyclone Yasi )

02 Feb

 A Demon from hell

Racing across

This harsh damaged land

Wreaking havoc

On our once fair land

Winds that obliterate

The eye of the burning sun

Air so silent

It numbs the mind

From the very soul

Of man and beast

A tsunami of winds

Bearing down

Destroying homes

Destroying towns

Mother Nature

Has unleashed her anger

And unbridled her power

Eyes uncomprehending

Of those who try

To understand this Tornado

Of winds of Hell

Eyes reflecting the fear

Of impending doom

Of the deadly breath

Of Hell

Lives are lost

Both young and old

Fleeing this Demon

From Satan’s Soul

A Nation United

As one we pray

For all who suffer

By Night and Day

Oh Mighty Lord

Of one and all

Heed our cry

And heed our call

Release us

From these winds from Hell

Help us remain steadfast

For in your faith

 we dwell

And quench this Tsunami

This Yasi from Hell

Breathe your mercy Lord

For surely tomorrow

We will see your Hell

The following clip is taken from the recording when cyclone Tracy destroyed the city of Darwin Christmas eve 1974

Cyclone Yasi tonight is predicted to be of a more devastating category

I’m praying that no lives are lost Ian – Catagory 5 is as big as they get and from what I’ve seen on the news this is the Mother of all storms.

This really has been the year of Hell for Australia…

    God Bless.

    Prenin.

I echo ‘Pens’ Words here Ian.. the video clip helps put into perspective how vulnerable we all are against natures elements .. And your powerful poem echoed your feelings so very well.. And I am praying along with you. Sue

Our country does not have such storms or tsunami. I’ve seen them only on TV. Forces of Nature is a powerful and ruthless.

There seems nothing is as bad as Mother Nature at her worst…and your words describe the feelings and terrors that are faced by the people ‘visited’ in this most destructive way. NO words of mine can help in any way, just hope that this Tsunami of Winds may lose it’s deathly strength in some way…My thought’s and prayers are joined with yours Ian…in this hope…xPenx
