A Bushmans Breakfast

A Bushmans Breakfast

The smell of the smoky campfire

Wrapped in the early mornings mist

Wafted lazily across

The never ending mountain ranges

The sun kissing her lands

With early morning smiles

Promising a warm winters day

Through the eucalyptus

The stirrings of birds

Within the depths of the trees

Heralded the morn

With a praise of beauty

Their songs of joy

Echoing their greeting

Of a new day

Lost in awe and wonder

I watched the artist

Of the universe

Paint his panoramic vista

Of beauty upon our land

In the valley below

The rock wallabies

Began their search

For food

Bounding between rocks

Of granite

In the distance of my eye

The quick movements

Of a goanna

Warily watched

The opening scene

From this magical moment

A miracle of awakening

I wend my way back

To the smoky campfire

With its smell

Of sizzling bacon and eggs

And bubbling hot coffee

Silently I give thanks

For that which I’ve seen

The hand of the painter

The Master Supreme

A great poem Emu and made all the more great with sound effects and graphic that sent the imagination Deep in the Bush!…

Along with the music and your words, i feel like am transported to a different world… Wish there was some kind of remote that would take you to the place you’ve written about, away from the hubbub of this busy city life where there aren’t any bosses, deadlines to meet, interviews n definitely no Mondays…
Have a great rest of the day..
