Viewer Discretion Advised

30 Nov

Well the old Emu might be getting on in years but still has the knack of reviving the old plant.

For three years now I have carefully handled and taken loving care of this gift of nature, and enjoyed the pleasures it gives. Each year around Christmas time I look forward to it growing , with caring love I watch it grow, and handle it carefully, its little stem gets bigger and bigger, the little knob at the end swells up and starts as a pinkish colour and with careful handling and caressess turns into a bright red knob with promises of things to come.

Once a year, to this old mans delight, his little enjoyment comes to life and shows its full beauty.

My little cactus only blooms once a year around Christmas time and when finally explodes into the most beautiful flower, you can only be amazed.

Who says in old age that we cannot make a mountain out of a mole hill, ahh the memories of a wasted youth, hehehe.

Hi Sheila, I think its magical how it grows overnight and flowers the one day of the year.
Lovely warm weather here at the moment and a hot summer predicted.
      Wishing you well.
