this is before i was born, 6 years before….and here you are a young man, still a boy out there in the world fighting for me and my generation who have not even been thought of yet, as you battle the war of wars, the one that still rages inside of you to this day, i can not imagine or begin to imagine what you were thinking the thoughts that were racing through your head at the time this photo was taken the fear, the uncertain the isolation the total blackness that surrounded you, and so many like you who was out there to fight for our country for our freedom, for what we have today. Thank you will be never be enough those words just seem so hollow when i try to express my gratitude for you and so many like you who gave so much for our land down under, who continue to give, without asking or wanting anything in return……you are by far my HERO ! always and forever……..((hugs)) Angel

Hi girl, thanks for the visit, have been away touring for a while down the high country way Healesville, that sure is one old pic of me hitching a ride home on a chopper, not the first time I have hitchhiked on an airstrip, seems to work everytime I show a leg.
Hope the weather is not knocking you around too much in your delicate situation, 39 degrees here and me beer is warming as soon as I open a damn stubby.
Take care, catch ya around tha traps.

You looked so young to have endured all you did…. sending you a thank you for the service you did during such a difficult and horrendous war.
    Love and Blessings Sue

Thanks for that beautiful comment Sue.
Time heals all wounds but leaves the scars,
our young veterans will face the same horrors when they return from the Middle East.
God certainly did not invent wars.

Hi Cat, yes I was young back in those days, thankfully I was young enough to absorb what was going on around me, lousy thing is as I get older the memorys come back clearer each time, fact of life for me now, they call it PTSD.
      Cheers girl and keep smiling.

Had a great time in Adelaide Sue, heading off again soon, have to teach Ana how to explore off the beaten track.
Good to hear Dads doing fine, I dont get to comment too much on facebook, the bloody thing still scares me and confuses me, like I told you in Adelaide, but will hang in there.
