Good evening dear Gislinde, warm Summer night here in Mildura, hope your weather is to your liking, I keep thinking your weather is the opposite to ours and you are in Winter.
Either way Dear friend, stay happy in life.

Oh Ian, You are such a beautiful beautiful man. This was lovely. That pic is just gorgeous.

When I was with Daniel’s father, he often played romantic Chinese songs & I really liked them. Didn’t know what they were singing, but the passion,t he melody.. Just beautiful.

Hi Noeleen, hope all is going fine in your life, thanks for the visit and beautiful comment.
I fell in love with the Vietnamese music when I was over there in 1970, it was so easy to fall in love with the people and culture, even to this day the music haunts my soul.
Chinese music and all South East Asian music is so romantic.
      Wishing you well girl.

Thanks Ian – & wishing you well.

It’s good to have someone who knows what this music is like – it is truly just so romantic, so melodic.

Yes, I’m well enough. Need more work, but at least not homeless. OH, begging for a month on a beach to finish my book!!

The world of a writer is not easy Noeleen, every word and every sentence must have meaning from the emotions of the heart, some of my stuff actually comes when I am so down and on my last bottle that it all flows, its weird Noeleen, but once I got so pissed off writing my lifes experiences, chapter by chapter, that I gave it the arse and decided to write the last chapter of my book first and backpeddle from there,it was a beautiful ending and all lifes experiences faded into nothing more than an emotional learning experience in life, I saw wasted loves, wasted hate, wasted time and emotions on trivia, but the reading of the final chapter as I closed the unwritten story was worth the effort, well that was just one of my weird writers moments.
Enough waffle from this pseudo writer, off to get another beer to either drink in sorrow or celebrate in a writers euphoric moment.

Thank you, Ian, for sharing this beautiful Vietnamese Music. I enjoyed it very much. Very romantic and calming and relaxing! 🙂
All the bushfires are quite a worry. Our surroundings around Wollongong are okay so far, but today it is going to be hot again. Would be nice to get a bit of rain!! This seems to be wishful thinking for days to come.
    Cheerio, Auntyuta. 🙂

Hi Auntyuta, by now I hope the weather has changed and the fires are not as intense, but as you know Auntyuta, the fires here during our summer months are unpredictable, especially with the changing winds.
If you are ever told to get out, then pack your bongos and shoot through like a Bondi tram.
      Dont hang around.
      Take care.

Beautiful advice, Ian, it really is. Be assured if ever the fires should come anywhere near us, we pack everything into our little car that we have already planned on taking and then we shoot through – what do you say? – like a Bondi tram! There are two suitable places nearby for an evacuation I should imagine, namely the Dapto Shopping Centre as well as the Ribbonwood Centre. I reckon these two places are as fireproof as possible.
Today was not very hot here. There was even a sprinkle of rain. But I am sure more hot, windy days are awaiting us. So we hope for the best that it won’t be necessary to leave.
Thanks Ian. Enjoy your trip! 🙂

By now Auntyuta, the worst must be over, it is a very scary and dangerous situation to be living in.
I recall the township of Marysville in Victoria in 2009 , it was devestated, I went back last year and saw the rebuilding.
We are going back there next week again.
It is bad now Auntyuta but I tell you from past experience, the bushfire season has not really started yet.
Be safe and be prepared Dear friends.

Yes, Ian, the worst of the bushfires in the Blue Mountains is over for now. There are still fires. but they are under control. Very cool temperatures at the moment. We hope the summer is not going to be very very hot. Where we live there aren’t vast areas of bushland. But on a really hot, windy day even a ‘small’ fire can easily get out of hand. Be assured in hot weather we are going to be prepared for anything.

Get the flashbacks more as I get older Cat.
Nightime is a pain in the arse, think that is why I self medicate with the beer at night.
Stops the nighgtmares but I still wake up sweating and know I vhave been back in Nam again.
      Such is life Cat.
      Look after yourself girl.

Good morning Sue, thanks for the healing thoughts, was a little incapacitated for a while there and was frightened I would miss the Andre Rieu show, fortunately they removed the attachment I had to wear for a few days and I was cleared to go, still a little sore and sorry for myself in the area of the unemployed but recovering.
