Mother Nature’s Sense of Humour

11 Mar

Mother Nature certainly is diverse and breathtaking in sharing her beauty.

From startling sunrises to calming sunsets, her bountiful flora and fauna,

Through to ever changing scenery, surely Mother Nature’s gifts,

Can only be from the hands of The Great Architect of the Universe.

Mother Nature does have a sense of humor at times.

This morning I had my early morning rise walk along the riverbank.

Enjoying the scenery I came across this rather unusual tree,

Seems I was not the only one up early this morning.

This tree is also used as a mooring for houseboats along the river.

For some unknown reason, it brings luck to those females

Who place the mooring rope around the tree.

That is one fast Emu Cat, we see then quite often when driving on the outback roads, Kangaroos are the worst, they just jump straight in front of the car, reckon that old Emu is a Male, they normally run that fast when there’s a female chasing them, poor buggers.

That tree always makes me laugh Sue, Ana the spoil sport, wouldn’t let me take a pic of her sitting on it.
I wanted to get a pic sitting on it to, but didn’t want to seem as though I was bragging.

Nothing beats the organized beauty of Mother Nature – so why are humans always killing it, paving over it or building on top of it?

Your comment reminds me of an old song called Tar and Cement, not sure who sang it but maybe Carol Carpenter.

I’m a funny gal with lots of humor, Ian… 🙂 my very best and here’s my Latin motto: memento mori, carpe diem et gaudeamus igitur! = remember you’ll die, live this very day and enjoy it to the fullest! 🙂

Hi Melanie, nice to know you have a sense of humour.
I like your Latin motto, very true.
We are born and we die, what counts is how we fill in the time in between, therein lies our karma.

Emu, Great phallic symbol, in a sea of running water. No wonder the maidens like to rope around it, under watchful eye.
