Chocolates And Memories

20 Mar

Welcome To Aussie Emus World

Greeting my friends
I was going through a couple of pics from my time in Santiago Chile South America in 2009 and decided to share a couple of my favorites,
The first one was taken high up in the Cordillera del los Andes past a village called San Jose.
The picture will give you some idea how high up we were as the snow covered Andes are both below me and above me in the pic.
The other pics are taken in Santiago during their week long fiesta commemorating their independence
They were taken at a fair that was extraordinary to be a witness too.
The pics are off the chocolate stand.
Now the old Emu is not much of a chocolate lover but after this stand I came away with bags of chocolates and the undying love of two beautiful Chileana senoritas
Ahh the undying love of a chocolate…

I am not a chocolate eater Sue, but with that array and presentation, I did end up buying a big bag of various selections, they were delicious, very light and had an excellent taste, a once in a lifetime adventure for me.

Thanks for that beautiful comment Sheila, I think I may have lived the life of three men having been married three times, haha.
I did accumulate many experiences and travels over twenty years in the army, hopefully more travels in the near future, Rapa Nui (Easter Island ),Juan Fernandez Island, ( Treasure Island ), and Papua New Guinea.
Getting old Sheila and the sands of the hourglass don’t slow down.
      All the best my friend.

Travel is not for everyone Sheila, I am slowing down these days, a few more trips and I might hang up my expedition boots, want to visit Chile again first, and Papua New Guinea, but the bones are starting to object.
          Kind regards.
          Emu and Ian.
