Children Of The Dust

Welcome To Aussie Emus World

This writing is dedicated to the stolen

 generation of Aboriginal children taken

from their families and culture in the days

of early settlement of Australia by the

 white man

My Little One

Of The Stolen Heart

Your Small Delicate Soul

Taken From the Mother Core

Of Your Birth

By The Ever Changing Winds

Of The Unknown

Again And Again

The Cycle Is Unfulfilled

Your Little Soul

Knows Its Path

Yet Strangled By Souls

Of Those with Eyes Closed

And Ears Deaf

To The Very Existence

Of Our Journey

Little Spirit Soul

Care Not For What

They Do Not See

Hold My Hand

Little Sister

Walk With Me

I Will Show You the Colours

Of Our Beautiful Land

I Will Awake the Dreaming

In Your Heart

To See Those Visions

Of Eternal Beauty

That Play upon Our Soul

And Listen To the Laugh

Of Our Mornings

Early Call

I will say now what I said in 2010 Emu on your post ..

“A sad true Tale of how the ‘whiteman’ created the injustices upon all our indigenous peoples around our world,, The indigenous races will rise again though and are already being guided by the spirits of such souls.. For their knowledge of the Universe will resound around our globe as being Truth,, And those who now think they are so superior to that of our Native brothers and sisters are in for a rude awakening .. As our Children of the Dust will once more scatter their lights around this world, as they lead us back to the Spirit lands..”

    Love Sue x

I wrote this poem after a trip to an outback Aboriginal community, what stood out for me was their lack of footwear and old clothing, yet they had an aura of happiness and oneness with the world around them, quite a moving experience for me, as I could sense the spirituality in their very existence.
Cheers, hope your Easter is a happy time for you Sue.

Yes its the same when you see the African tribes. They have nothing yet their hearts are so full.. Shows with all our material wealth.. It means nothing to inner happiness.. 🙂

impressive, sad and emotional, Ian… yeah, it’s too late to fix all the evils caused by the white people’s acts and deeds in Australia that have reminded me of the ones perpetrated in North America with the native Americans… such a human tragedy!!! 😦

Thanks for the comment Melanie. It seems no matter where in the world the White man goes, he has this incessant need to educate and bring the indigenous peoples up to their standard, not realizing that we are actually removing them from their own culture and beliefs.
Indigenous peoples culture and beliefs are far superior to the white mans with all his technology.
Thanks for the many likes this afternoon.

Too many times we’ve interfered and screwed up too many lives.

From the Aboriginal children, to those enslaved and abused by the church when they were sent from England to ‘A Better Life’, there have been endless stories which should never have happened.

    May they forgive us. 😦

I agree Prenin, in the case of the Aboriginals we have introduced them into the White culture, but at the same time we have alienated them from their own culture, we have a lot to be ashamed of and a lot to atone for, although I think its too late.
